It’s time to Step Up! Saturday 7th November

Step Up Header
Restored is joining forces with White Ribbon Campaign and the Gaia Centre for a high heel walk to be held on Saturday 7 November in South London

We need men willing to walk the route in high heels.
We also warmly welcome everyone else to join in and support us.

Date and time: Start at 11.00am on Saturday 7 November
Gathering: In the courtyard of Lambeth Palace (SE1 7JU) from 10.30am. Nearest tubes: Lambeth North & Vauxhall.
Route: 1.2 miles from Lambeth Palace to The Oval
Purpose: Raising awareness of violence against women; taking a stand against it and raising money for charities in the sector.

A major part of the vision is for men to identify with women in their own life who have been affected by violence.

We have been very moved listening to men whose mothers were affected by violence when they were growing up.

Many others have seen violence affecting their sisters, daughters and other family members and friends.

We are inviting people, if they wish to do so, to hold cards with the first name of someone they know who has been affected.

Our strapline is:

The walk is in conjunction with White Ribbon Campaign. We have made contact with the Council and domestic violence services in Lambeth where the walk is being held, who are very supportive. We will also give participants and sponsors the opportunity to help support White Ribbon and Refuge who, through the Gaia Centre, work directly with women affected by violence in Lambeth.

I hope you will want to raise sponsorship. You can set up your own page on Virgin Money Giving or, to support any of the three charities involved please visit:
