Lambeth Safer Transport Team – How safe does the LGBT community feel using buses?

The Lambeth Hate Crime Forum have been asked by PC Matthew TUCKER from the Roads, Transport, And Policing Command to ask members of the LGBT community how safe you feel using buses.
Matthew is one of several LGBT liaison officers in Lambeth. Recently he attended the Council/Police Community Engagement Day at the Eagle London where some members of the LGBT community said they felt vulnerable travelling on the buses.
He would like to help reduce the fear of using public transport to travel that some LGBT people may have and would like to ask the following questions.
1. Do you feel vulnerable travelling on the buses?
2. Why do you feel vulnerable?
3. Which routes do you use?
4. How can the police assist to make you feel more confident in using the bus network?
Please email Matthew via the LGBT Liaison Officer’s team email lgbt-lx@met.police.uk
