Galop is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity to build on our existing and well respected hate crime service in London.

SALARY: NJC SCP 29 – 31 £28,127.

LOCATION: Greater London

CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary (3 years)

HOURS: Full-time (35 hrs)

DESCRIPTION:

Funded by the City Bridge Trust, this project will deliver a unique pan-London holistic service to vulnerable LGBT people who have been victims of hate crime. A full time specialist hate crime case worker will support and train twelve volunteer peer mentors, who have themselves been victims of hate crime.

The project will support LGBT victims to recover and reduce vulnerability through a package of support tailored to each individuals needs. It will empower LGBT victims of hate crime in London by supporting their access to a range of services (e.g. housing, healthcare) and engagement with community to tackle social isolation. Information and resources will be produced that are inclusive of all LGBT identities and target diverse London LGBT communities.

The position is a three year full-time post of 35 hours (1.0 f.t.e).
