Detectives investigating a racist attack on a mother and daughter have released CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to.

The pair were standing on the platform at Clapham Junction station when two young women approached them and one became abusive and threatened them.

They moved away but were subjected to more racial abuse and threats, police said.

Eventually rail staff intervened and the women boarded a train while their victims, aged 35 and 16, remained on the platform.

Police have today released an image of a woman they believe can help them with their enquiries about the incident on June 30 at 1.20pm.

Pc Michael  Willoughby said: “I believe the young woman in this CCTV still can help with our investigation into this incident.

“I would ask anyone who recognises her to get in contact.”
